Is a research project by Claudia A. Cruz* that explores the poetic, aesthetic and philosophical meanings of textiles in relation to our daily lives and our bodies.
In these fast-paced times, this project aims to return to the original, to the basics, to what is possible with the speed of the hands, to create with an awareness of time. Through the research and study of original textile techniques from different cultures, A.Cruz is dedicated to the creation of objects and textile pieces that accompany us in our daily lives.
The series “Los Caminos de la vida” ( The paths of life ) Unique pieces for body and wall
These textile accessories arise from the need to transfer textile experiments to the body. With the desire to explore the materials and their transformations as an aesthetic experience, a series of unique textile pieces was created, reminiscent of the different paths we take in the course of our lives, the cut-off, the curved, the meeting, the uncertain, the opening and the paths that lead nowhere… diverse and complex and never in a straight line.
